20 th November, 3D prep and more screen printing, Typography During our morning lesson, we learnt about how to create an illustrator graphic and apply it to Cinema 4D. This involves saving the illustrator document under Illustrator 8. This allows it to be applied to Cinema 4D. The design created on illustrator needs to be just the outline with no gaps. Pathfinder can be used to make sure the design is correct. When this is opened in Cinema 4D the object will need to be extruded in order to become 3D. To do this you need to drop the file onto the extrude action in the right column This will instantly transform the design into 3D.   Colour materials can then be added along with changing the caps to give nice rounded edges. During the lesson, I came up with a number of different designs that could be possible for me to create for the Pop-Up Shop assignment. The design was really attractive and could simulate an object that could feature within the store.
